Southern California Under National SOS Alert Due To Wildfires

Due to massive wildfires that spread out overnight, Southern California is under an SOS alert. With gusty winds going at 50-70 mph and smoke from the many fires, the Los Angeles Air Quality has been officially declared unhealthy & county officials urged residents to avoid going outdoors & limit their exercising. Over 200,000 people have been evacuated & 9 miles of Interstate 405, one of the nation’s busiest freeways, was shut down after flames swept down the foothills before dawn as stunned motorists watched. A red-flag warning, which is for extreme weather conditions that could cause wildfires, is in effect until 8 p.m. Friday.
