Netflix Takes Over Media, Now Worth More Than Disney & Comcast

Netflix has added millions of subscribers worldwide over the past few years. The company’s success shows that its bet on original content — shows like “Stranger Things,” “Orange is the New Black, “The Crown” and “13 Reasons Why” — has paid off. Netflix’s market value is now worth $153.1 billion beating Disney’s market cap at $152 billion (as of Thursday).

Disney plans to launch its own streaming network (LATE IN THE GAME), but hasn’t left a DENT on Netflix yet, despite the fact that Netflix airs many shows based on Disney-owned Marvel comic book characters.

Just incase you want to know a list of competition that Netflix just shitted one, here goes the list : Hulu (owned by Disney, Fox, & Time Warner), Amazon Prime, Time Warner, 21st Century Fox, CBS, VIACOM, & Comcast. Next up for Netflix to potentially pass are telecom and media giants AT&T and Verizon which are both worth about $200 billion ea.
