Oakland Police Raided and Shut Down the Zide Door Church of Entheogenic Plants

On August 13th, the only magic mushroom church in the U.S. “Zide Door Church of Entheogenic Plants” was shut down by Oakland Police. No arrests were made but police confiscated over $200,000 in cash as well as cannabis and psychedelic mushrooms.

Magic Mushrooms and other “entheogenic plants” containing psychoactive substances are decriminalized in the city of Oakland and city officials have stated “investigating people for growing, buying, distributing or possessing the substances shall be amongst the lowest law enforcement priority for the City of Oakland.”
