Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will be available as a standalone release for PS4 next week, Activision has announced.
The game, which was previously only available with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare special editions, can be purchased both physically and digitally on PS4 starting June 27 for $40 USD. Along with the full campaign, it will include its original 16 base maps.
While initially only available on PS4, a standalone release for other platforms will follow sometime in the future.
Activision’s announcement follows recent leaks suggesting the remastered title will soon be available as a standalone boxed game.
In celebration of Modern Warfare Remastered’s standalone launch, players will able to compete in a five-week seasonal event called Call of Duty “Days of Summer” on June 27. The community celebration will include XP events, in-game giveaways, a new summer-themed map for Modern Warfare Remastered, new gear, and more.
