American Citizen Could Face Death Penalty In Bali For Medical Marijuana

Published
3 years agoon

American citizen Christian Beasley is facing serious charges in Bali, Indonesia for the possession of medical marijuana. He could be facing 4 yrs. – life in prison for possession alone, even the death penalty as a trafficker after being caught with 5.7 grams of cannabis, 0.7 too much. In Indonesia, marijuana is classified as a schedule 1 drug, the same as heroin.
After already serving 5 months in prison, Christian has already escaped from prison due to feeling ‘pressured’ and threats from convicts. His family hopes the White House would intervene after expressing concern for his safety in Indonesia.
In the U.S. medical marijuana is legal in 29 states, and recreational in 8 states. It goes to show how other countries DON’T PLAY with a harmless plant.
