Real Madrid Receives Huge Payout From Adidas

Spanish football club Real Madrid and Adidas have reportedly agreed to a sponsorship deal worth $1.2 Billion USD. According to reports, the deal is over the stretch 10 years with each year worth $125 million USD — The teams current deal is worth $59 million USD and the agreement is a renewal of contracts as Adidas have been sponsoring the club since 1998.

To put things in a different perspective, Nike partnered up with the NBA t0 kit out all of the 21 teams within the league for $1 Billion USD over the course of 8 years.” In other words $125 million USD a season for 21 teams is the same that adidas will pay for just Real Madrid.”

Real Madrid will also overtake Manchester United club as the highest paid team currently raking in $97 million USD.  Barcelona currently makes $94 million USD per season with Nike.
