There is unanimity at the top of the USA TODAY Sports men’s basketball coaches poll for the first time in the wild 2019-20 season.

Kansas retains the No. 1 ranking for a second consecutive week. The Jayhawks, who have won 14 games in a row, claimed all 32 first-place votes after Baylor lost to TCU over the weekend. The Bears, meanwhile, slip two spots to No. 4. Gonzaga is back up to No. 2, leapfrogging No. 3 Dayton by a single poll point. San Diego State continues to round out the top five.

The rest of the top 10 also saw some movement. Kentucky vaults three spots to No. 6 after clinching the SEC regular-season championship with a defeat of Auburn. Seton Hall jumps six places to No. 7. Florida State, Maryland and Louisville complete the top 10 as Duke slips to four positions to 11th following a pair of road losses during the week.

The week featured even more chaos near the bottom of the rankings as five teams fell out of the Top 25. No. 21 Houston leads the group of returnees with Virginia, Illinois, Wisconsin and Butler occupying the following places.

West Virginia, Colorado, Texas Tech, Michigan and Arizona all departed the poll.
