A signed Mike Trout home run ball from his little league days sold for over $15k. His uncle held on to the ball all these years, and just recently sold it for ove r$15,000 USD.
Los Angeles native Mike Trout has been playing professional baseball his entire life. The 28-year-old outfielder has been a mainstay in professional baseball since he was drafted by the Angels in 2009.
The two-time MVP has had an illustrious career, winning seven Silver Slugger awards, the 2012 Rookie of the Year award and a host of other accolades. Trout has also led the American League in runs scored four times, home runs three times, and walks three times.
Trout’s love for the game began when he was just five years old and played in his first Little League game. He continued to play in local leagues throughout his childhood and by high school, he was already considered one of the best players in the country. Trout was offered dozens of scholarships to play college baseball but chose to forgo college and focus on professional baseball.
It was a brave decision, but one that has paid off for the Millville native. Trout has since become one of the most decorated players in Major League Baseball history, and his name is now synonymous with the game. The future Hall of Famer’s passion for the game began in Little League, and he continues to live out his dream every day.
