The iconic four–member girl group has sold more than 9 million records worldwide and notched six top–10 songs on the Billboard 100. Now, they’re returning with a new show on the Bravo network called “SWV & XSCAPE: The Queens of R&B” which premiered Sunday, March 5, at 9:30 p.m. The six–part limited series gives viewers a VIP front–row seat and backstage access to ’90s nostalgia.
XSCAPE, who rose to prominence in the 1990s and made a name for themselves with their unique blend of R&B and hip-hop, is comprised of Kandi Burruss, Tiny Harris, LaTocha Scott, and Tamika Scott. The group’s music was anthemic, and their chemistry undeniable. They were the first female R&B group to have a #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 and one of the most successful groups of the decade.
The new show promises to bring viewers up close and personal with the group, revealing never-before-told stories about their iconic career. The ladies will also be performing some of their biggest hits, as well as discussing how their careers have evolved since their 1990s heyday.
XSCAPE has endured a lot since their rise to fame in the ’90s, including breakups and reunions. But, their bond has remained strong and they’re ready to show the world just how powerful and enduring their friendship is. They’re sure to bring a whole lot of nostalgia and soulful melodies to the small screen this Sunday.
