DRINKS AT DISNEYLAND
In a significant shift from its long-standing tradition, Disneyland has announced that it will be serving alcohol at some of its popular restaurants starting on September 12, 2023. The iconic theme park will now offer beer, wine, and mixed drinks at the Carnation Cafe, River Belle Terrace, and Cafe Orleans, giving visitors the option to enjoy adult beverages alongside their meals.
This move marks a notable departure from Disneyland’s history as a “Dry” park, where alcoholic beverages were not served on its premises. In 2019, the park took its first step towards introducing alcohol when it began offering drinks at the Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The positive response from guests led to further considerations, ultimately leading to the upcoming expansion of alcohol sales to additional restaurants within the park.
Alongside the introduction of alcoholic beverages, the participating restaurants will also unveil new and exciting food menu items to complement the beverage options. This culinary enhancement aims to enrich the dining experience for visitors, offering a wider variety of choices and flavors to indulge in during their time at Disneyland.
The decision to serve alcohol is seen by many as a strategic move, as it is expected to boost revenue for the park. With guests having more options for food and drinks, Disneyland is likely to witness increased spending and a more enjoyable experience for adult visitors.
