MARTIN LAWRENCE GETS HIS FLOWERS
On Thursday April 20th, 2023, comedic actor and producer Martin Lawrence will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony will celebrate Lawrence’s three decades of success in the entertainment industry and his impact as a trailblazer in Hollywood.
Lawrence, who grew up in Maryland, has been performing comedy since his teenage years. After successful stand-up performances, he was cast in a range of film and television roles, including the hit sitcom “Martin” and the “Bad Boys” movie franchise.
Lawrence speaking about his career journey, says, “I am living proof that dreams can come true… I am grateful to be here. I am grateful for everyone who has been a part of my journey.”
Will Smith, who starred alongside Lawrence in the “Bad Boys” movies said of Lawrence, “He’s been a master of comedy and a master of the great life lesson. He’s been a giant in the culture. I’m so proud to call him my brother.”
Law rence’s star is the 2,753th on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. With his star, Lawrence joins the ranks of Hollywood’s most iconic actors, directors, and producers.
